What You Need To Know and Do

What You Need To Know

When you
receive the manuals you absolutely MUST read them, reread them and know what is in there! You are responsible for the content and compliance and the FAA interface, so be prepared to become as knowledgeable as possible.

You would have obtained RVSM training online or at a school, but that is only part of the picture. The manuals have a LOT more information.

What You Need To Do

  1. Interface with the GLN staff is the primary task as we will be handling all but a very few issues.
  2. Review the manuals when they come back.
  3. Send them to the FAA. Have the address and shipment information ready. Best if you have talked to the FAA and told them you are sending over the RVSM manuals.
  4. Get any change requests back from the FAA and send them to GLN. Usually that is just some notes, but sometimes it is the manual itself.
